Founder & Director — Butlers Dry Cleaners
Zubair Diwan's story begins where many great businesses do — not in a boardroom, but on the shop floor. Growing up, he worked alongside his father in a family-run retail dry cleaning shop, learning the craft from the ground up. It was there, handling garments with care and watching customers return time and again, that he developed both a deep respect for the trade and a clear-eyed view of its possibilities.
Leaving school, Zubair saw what others had missed: the corporate sector — London's hotels, private clubs, and large-scale hospitality operations — was underserved. The tailored, relationship-driven laundry solutions these businesses demanded simply did not exist at the standard they required. That gap in the market became the founding vision for Butlers Dry Cleaners.
Butlers was Zubair's first step into the commercial and institutional space, and it proved to be a decisive one. The business grew rapidly, earning the trust of some of London's most discerning clients and enabling him to expand into a large-scale, state-of-the-art facility in Park Royal, West London — purpose-built to handle the volume and precision that the hospitality industry demands.
His commitment to excellence has been recognised at the highest levels of the industry. Zubair was named LCN Drycleaner of the Year in both 2018 and 2019 — a testament to the standards he holds himself and his team to every single day. At Butlers, that standard is not a marketing claim.
